Landmark Aviation Hanger Demolition

AMG was contracted to turn-key the asbestos abatement, building demolition, site grading, and utility disconnection for this project. This project consisted of the demolition and abatement of 4 invidual 32′ tall private jet hangers combining for a total of 66,000 SF. AMG used multiple skidsteers, loaders, and hydraulic excavators equipped with shears, breakers, pulverizers, and thumb attachments to remove all the building structures and their foundations. AMG crushed and recycled approximately 10,000 tons of concrete material and was re-used onsite. All of the disturbed soil was over-excavated and compacted all the soil to a depth of 4′ and set finish-grade over the entire 66,000 SF site. AMG also disconnected all of the existing utilities that fed all of the existing building structures. Each utility was potholed, purged, cut, capped, and documented. Lastly, AMG had the task of exposing and recovering a 15,000 Gall UST. AMG carefully excavated, exposed, and removed the tank without any damage or injuries to personnel.
